Prof. Cyril Fisher

Dr Cyril Fisher is a renowned specialist soft tissue tumour pathologist with a distinguished career in academia and pathology. He was born in the UK and trained at Oxford University and University College London. After completing his medical degree, he pursued a career in diagnostic histopathology, with a sub-specialty in soft tissue tumours.

Dr Fisher has made significant contributions to the field of pathology through his research and publications. He has authored or co-authored over 650 peer-reviewed papers and three textbooks, including "Biopsy Interpretation of Soft Tissue Tumors" and "Atlas of Soft Tissue Tumor Pathology." His research interests include morphology, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, and clinico-pathological correlations.

Dr Fisher is an Emeritus Professor of Tumour Pathology at the Institute of Cancer Research, University of London, UK, and a Consultant Histopathologist at University Hospitals Birmingham, UK. He has also served on various editorial boards and has been involved in numerous international committees, including the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Working Party.
