Dr Sami Titi is a renowned Consultant Histopathologist and Clinical Director for Cellular Pathology at the Northern Care Alliance (NCA), based in Manchester, UK. With over 19 years of experience, Dr Titi is an expert in the field of histopathology, specializing in breast and uropathology. He is currently leading a team of 30 pathologists at the NCA, who are providing a comprehensive Cellular Pathology service to the trusts they serve. Dr Titi acts as a lead pathologist for breast multidisciplinary teams. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Titi has been involved in several research projects, including his PhD research on HER-2 gene amplification and protein p185 overexpression in invasive breast cancer. 

He has contributed to a vast range of research papers, focusing on various aspects of oncology, pathology, parasitic diseases, and transgender health. His work includes case reports, analyses of diagnostic methods, and exploration of specific pathological conditions. Some of his most notable works include his research on the Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2 (HER2) test, primary fibrosarcoma of the thyroid gland, and a variety of case reports detailing rare pathological conditions.

In addition to his numerous publications, Dr. Titi has made significant contributions to the Polish National Colorectal Screening Program. His work was acknowledged in the original publication by Jaroslaw Regula and colleagues titled "Colonoscopy in Colorectal-Cancer Screening for Detection of Advanced Neoplasia" published in The New England Journal of Medicine in 2006. This research has played a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of colorectal cancer screening in Poland.

Dr. Titi's contributions to text correction, a rare case of intestinal schistosomiasis, and microphotography of HER2 Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) & Immunohistochemistry (IHC) were also acknowledged in a Polish pathology book titled "Patologia znaczy słowo o chorobie" by J. Stachura and W. Domagała, published in 2005.

Dr Titi is a Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologists, a Fellow of the Polish Society of Pathology, and has completed several national and international courses, including many on medical leadership, which have helped him to continue delivering high-quality, consultant-led services. He has also organized and chaired several regional conferences on breast pathology and has been a clinical governance lead for cellular pathology.
