NHS hospitals integrated with Diagnexia get histology reports back in under 0.8 days on average, from send to report. Digital integration is what makes fast reporting possible.

Now sites onSectra Image Exchange Portal (IEP) can refer histopathology cases to our subspecialty reporting service over a connection they already have in place. Diagnexia, a digital pathology department serving NHS trusts, private providers and pathology networks, is pleased to announce that it has connected to the Sectra IEP.
‍

What changes for a site on Sectra IEP

A site already on Sectra IEP can send us a histology case on the connection it already has. We check the image, give it to a subspecialist in that discipline who is free to report it, and send the report back.

‍

"UK pathology has spent a decade building digital capability one site at a time. Sectra has already done the connecting work across more than 500 institutions in radiology. Joining that network means the groundwork is done before the conversation starts."

Donal O'Shea, Chief Executive Officer Diagnexia

‍

“Every new connection strengthens the network, and with Diagnexia now joining IEP, a national telepathology network is rapidly becoming reality. For hospitals already connected to IEP, the benefit is immediate: Diagnexia’s reporting capacity is now accessible through the same connection and workflows they use today. No new integration, no separate supplier onboarding, and no additional infrastructure. Hospitals can quickly tap into specialist expertise and additional reporting capacity from Diagnexia, helping them manage demand and reduce reporting backlogs.”

Jane Rendall, Managing Director for Sectra UK and Ireland
